Kairos is a new ministry initiative to foster greater inclusion of young adults at Seneca Creek. The title comes from a Greek word that appears in the Bible to identify an opportune time for decision and action. It's used to describe how events unfold where everything happens at once, and the future trajectory is set.
Young adults are in a kairos season of tremendous growth and transition, which can often leave them feeling like "people in waiting."
Waiting to finish college.
Waiting to land the perfect job.
Waiting to gain financial freedom.
Waiting to find their significant other.
Waiting to arrive...
We want young adults to know, you are not "people in waiting." You are significant. You are valuable. You are part of the grand story that God is writing in the world, and you are enough. Just as you are.
With this in mind, we believe now is the opportune time for dialogue and action to provide greater voice, connection, and empowerment of young adults in our church and community. We're excited to roll out a series of fun events aimed at connecting, including, and empowering young adults.
